About the Role

NexusPoint Systems is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join our growing Operations team as we expand our cybersecurity capabilities and take on larger, more complex client projects. Reporting to Priya Sharma, Head of Service Delivery, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical teams and clients, ensuring project requirements are clearly understood and delivered successfully.

This graduate position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT project delivery within Western Australia's dynamic mid-market sector. You'll work directly with our cybersecurity and infrastructure teams while building strong relationships with clients ranging from professional services firms to mining operations.

As part of our 8-person Operations team, you'll be involved in some of our most significant projects, including major cybersecurity implementations and cloud migrations that are transforming how local businesses operate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture detailed business and technical requirements for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects
  • Project Documentation: Create clear, comprehensive project specifications, user stories, and process documentation that technical teams can implement effectively
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between clients and our technical teams, translating complex IT concepts into business language
  • Project Support: Assist with project planning, timeline development, and progress tracking alongside our Solutions Architect team
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline project delivery processes and enhance client satisfaction
  • Quality Assurance: Review project deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements and NexusPoint's quality standards
  • Client Presentations: Support senior team members in presenting project proposals and progress updates to client executives

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, IT, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with experience presenting to diverse audiences
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when analyzing business processes
  • Technical Interest: Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, or cybersecurity concepts (formal experience not required)
  • Project Awareness: Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) through coursework or internships
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with different personality types and seniority levels
  • Local Market Knowledge: Understanding of Western Australian business environment preferred
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in project management or documentation tools a plus
